Looking for a football club for your daughter in Bangkok?

Lions FC Girls is open for new players. If you are looking for a girls football club in Bangkok, this is what the club is and how it works - so you can tell quickly whether it suits your daughter.

We are not an academy. Lions FC is a parent-run, not-for-profit club, started in 2020 by families who wanted their daughters to have somewhere to train properly, and still run by parents today. Nobody takes anything out of it; what the club takes in pays for the pitch, the coaches and the equipment.

Who trains here: girls aged 8 to 15, from international schools and Thai schools right across Bangkok. Beginners train alongside girls who have played for years, and a girl who has never kicked a ball is not the odd one out - the club itself started as a group of beginners.

How it runs: two coaches for the group, so an eight-year-old and a fifteen-year-old are not put through the same drill. Sessions are in English, with Thai whenever it is needed - which also makes this a comfortable place for a Thai girl who is learning English. The squad has always been a mix of languages, and someone has always been able to help a new player.

Where and when: SoccerPro Bangna, on Soi Bangna-Trad 23, a few minutes from Central Bangna - a covered pitch, so sessions happen in any weather. Monday and Thursday, 5pm to 6pm. Free parking on site, and somewhere to sit if you stay.

Whether your daughter already plays for her school or has never been in a team, she can train here. Football at this club is about more than winning games: it is the skills she takes back to her school side, a group of friends from outside school, and two evenings a week of being properly active in a city that makes that hard.
