The last session of the season, and three goodbyes
The final training of 2022/23, with music on the speaker and three players saying goodbye before their families move abroad.
The last training session of 2022/23. Everyone who came gave it everything, as usual, and there was music coming out of a speaker on the touchline the whole way through.
It was also the farewell session for three players whose families are moving abroad. Between them they played in every tournament the club won this season - a number ten who scored in all of them, a midfielder opponents could not get past one on one and who hit free kicks harder than anyone, and the captain, who took her turn in goal whenever she was needed and never gave less than everything.
Their new clubs in Europe and Africa are getting good footballers and better teammates.
After the presents were handed over, the girls and the parents went on to a restaurant nearby for a last meal together - where the coach was last seen teaching the squad to play pool.
